Program Grant

A Community grant in the form of a Program grant must meet the following guidelines to be eligible for consideration:

  • Applicant should be established with competent management and a proven history in managing similar programs.
  • Grant may provide seed money to help support a new or expanded program for up to 36 months, after which the program should be self-funding either by itself or the sponoring organization.
  • Participation by multiple donors is preferred.
  • Grant requests should address critical and unmet needs and avoid redundancy among service providers.  The goal should not be simply to sustain people, but for people to sustain themselves.
  • There should be a high likelihood of success for the proposed program to be ongoing and self-funding by the sponoring agency without speculative grants.
  • The sponsoring nonprofit must be willing to measure its intentions against specific outcomes.
