Neighborhood Grant

A Community grant in the form of a Neighborhood grant must reflect the following guidelines to be eligible for consideration:

  • Purpose is to fund community self-help projects in residential neighborhoods of the Walla Walla Valley.
  • Project involves bricks and mortar and is neighborhood specific with wide support.
  • Applicant is a broad-based, grassroots neighborhood group of individuals, who typically form a group solely for the purpose of a specific capital project.  The group is likely to require a sponsoring nonprofit organization, the mission of which should be aligned with the project.

Other grant guidelines are:

  • Project should be the inspiration and creation of neighborhood residents, who are fully engaged in taking ownership of their neighborhood.
  • Project should be sustainable in terms of ownership, maintenance, and use.
  • Project should receive support from multiple donors.
